It disturbs me to hear of the number of massage therapists currently practicing that are not providing satisfactory service.  I believe the profession is becoming flooded with non-caring therapists, educationally incapable of providing a thorough, effective massage.

Poorly trained, inadequately trained massage therapists who give such bad massages.

Karen Craig

Eugene Wood

Becoming burnt out too early, being overworked and not being able to use this as a long-term profession.

Candice

I believe our biggest concerns are education and licensure. I do not believe that there is enough education required in most states and there isnt standardization like in other professions, especially the medical profession.

Jackie Kincaid
Boynton Beach, Florid

We need to define educational standards, recognize and be able to defend them.
